Group Meeting
Hello all,
We will be having an AIGA Boise State Group meeting this coming Sunday (Nov 2) 6 p.m. at the RAM (Park Center and Broadway, next to Hollywood Video). We will be discussing future events, and brainstorming ideas for ways our club can give back to the Boise design community.

Get Out The Vote
Check out the AIGA Idaho site to view a gallery of all the Idaho Get Out The Vote posters. The posters are currently on display at both the Nampa and Downtown Flying M locations, so be sure to stop by and see the work. There will also be a reception for the exhibit on Oct. 15 from 5:30 – 7:30.
New Website & Getting InTimate with InDesign
That’s right, a shiny new site, hot off the presses and hopefully bug-free (if you run into any, please let me know). You might also notice that every time you load the site, the header image changes. Well guess what, you as an AIGA Student Member can have your work displayed there along with your name. All you have to do is send either the full pdf (it will be cropped to fit) or send a high-quality, 940 x 180 px jpg image to submit@aigabsu.org.
You may also notice the fancy new event calendar in the upper right area. The blue/bold dates have an event, and you can click on the date to view details about the event. Keep posted, because we will add events to this calendar often, as they are planned.
You will notice, currently the only event listed on the calendar is to take place tonight (10/7) at 6:30 p.m. in the FAB classroom lab. It will be the first of many Tutorial/Q&A based workshops highlighting different tools of design. This installment is titled, “Getting InTimate with InDesign.” The first one will be free, so come hang out, learn a little InDesign and bring questions.
Also, the main blog portion of this site is open for contribution by any AIGA Boise State member. If you are interested in contributing to the blog, send an e-mail to iwanttowrite@aigabsu.org and you will be provided with login information.
